Guilty Pleasure

I have an embarrassing confession....I still watch the Kardashians. Yes, yes criticize them as much as you want, but I still can't resist especially when it comes to Kourtney and her little boy Mason. Plus, I love Kourtney's style.  Her baby shower was just perfect-fun and girly without being too fruffy.

Bluemercury

Bluemercury had long been a Bethesda favorite of mine. It's a spa and make-up/hair product store that is filled with just about all of my favorite products. Lately, I've noticed they've opened up in Georgetown and most recently in Clarendon as well. Bluemercury is a fantastic one stop shop for spa treatments, hair products, body products, and make-up from brands like Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Trish McEvoy, Khiel's, Mario Badesco, etc. They sell all my favorite specliazed brands without being as large and overwhelming as Sephora, Ulta, or department stores. It's also a great place to receive specialized attention and advice from make-up artists. Here are some of my recent buys there:

Picked up more Moroccan oil. It really is the best moisturizing treatment for your hair and a small dot goes a long way.

Bobbi Brown eye cream, super hydrating and great for travel. 

Have yet to try this mascara but have heard that it's very gentle on the eye area. 

Champagne quartz eyeshadow. Love this shade, a neutral with a bit of sparkle.

Recently.......

I've finally recovered from getting out my wisdom teeth and have begun creating a schedule and getting my life together.

I was ecstatic to receive my Swell Caroline lobster earrings. I've been receving tons of compliments on them not to mention the gold and navy combination goes with just about everything.

I've done a little too much shopping at J.Crew-is it just me or is this one of their best seasons ever?!?

I drank my very first old fashioned at the Willard hotel in DC this past weekend. Ah, to finally be old enough to enjoy nice drinks at a real bar haha!

And finally, I was trampizing all over DC this weekend with a certain boy in my life that I may have been keeping a secret from you all for a while now. I don't want to give away too much quite yet except that I absolutely adore him and have never been happier. His name for this blog is the Metropolitan for reasons to be later explained! Stay tuned.

Ouch!

I've been up to nothing fun after getting my wisdom teeth out yesterday. Here I was thinking that my usually resilient self would be fine in a few hours. Nope, still in lots of pain. Here's what's helping me get through:

Pregnant in Heels on repeat. 

Online shopping. J.Crew. 

Chocolate almond milk pudding. Delish.

I'm Back!

It's been a whirlwind of a week! Final exams finished, I headed off to beach week with some friends, returned to school for a few days, and then went home for a wedding. Now, I'm home for Summer and couldn't be happier to relax, unpack, and have more blogging time! Can't wait to catch up on all of your posts.

Recently Loving...Distractions

Pardon my slow blogging lately. I would love to say that I've been busy with finals or preparing for beach week but the real problem is that the Equestrian and I spend way too much time goofing around. One of us starts and the other follows.

This is where I should be. Sitting at my desk staring at images for my art history final. 

I've been making to do list upon to do list. 

But instead I've been here. Drinking Maker's Mark and ginger ale with the Equestrian. 

Online Shopping. Swell Caroline arrivals. I'm loving my new keychain and earrings. 

Mall shopping. Beach week make-up, bronzer and waterproof mascara. 

It's time for the library and I to have some romantic time together.

Foxfield

Foxfield is one of the major highlights of the year for UVA students. And guess what it went and did this weekend? It rained. Not a little drizzle but more of a downpour.  Despite hair frizzes, cold feet, and soggy food, we still managed to sport our Lilly and smile! Broadway Starlet and Fellow Lilly Lover came down to join me for the weekend too, and I don't think I stopped laughing from the moment they got here. 

They headed to a fraternity event with me Friday night..

And then it was the very chilly morning of Foxfield...

Saturday night we headed to a little Italian restaurant for some yummy and energy restoring pizza before heading out for the night.
